What’s this Program About?

  • Our affordable self-publishing journey is centered around our H.A.N.D formula: Heal, Affirm, Nurture, and Deliver. We are focusing on devotionals and daily reflection journals because they are easier to write compared to full-length novels. The H.A.N.D formula is our method of turning your testimony or one of your victorious experiences into a 30-day devotional or daily reflection journal.

Timeline & Lessons

  • Each Sunday, a pre-recorded video with a new assignment is provided with the details of how to accomplish that assignment.

  • On Thursday, we will meet via Zoom at 7 pm EST to discuss any issues or roadblocks you are experiencing with the assignments.

  • All videos will be posted to the private Facebook group so that you can re-watch them for inspiration or clarity. You can also post your accomplishments, motivation, or questions about what you’ve been doing for the last couple of days. When you join, enter the email you used to register for the class.

  • By the end of the class, you will have a published book on Amazon. I’ll guide you through each step of the self-publishing process.

Why Should You Join?

You won’t have to struggle to develop content if you want to become an author! Everything you need is already in your head and your heart. In class, you’ll be guided through our method of organizing your thoughts, ideas, and potential topics. Then we’ll provide you with a strategic plan for writing, formatting, and publishing your content into your own paperback book.

You won’t get distracted and discouraged by the technical and creative parts of your project. We guide you through the entire process of self-publishing your book. We teach you how to avoid pitfalls, but just in case, we’re available to assess situations and solve problems. As part of the program, we offer live classes where you can follow each step to success.

You’ll end up with a finished, published product. Other businesses and workshops get to you the finished manuscript but don’t help you cross the finish line. You’ll have a digital file but uploading to Amazon isn’t as straightforward as it may seem. We assist you with everything you need to receive a fully published book as well as how to obtain copies to sell at your book launch party.

Why Haven’t You Written Your Book?

You Don’t Have Time

Classes and videos won’t be long. We understand that you have a busy lifestyle and no matter how much time you have available, it should go towards writing your book. We’ve developed a strategic plan to help you maximize your time and productivity. Since we are focusing on devotional and daily reflection journals, you won’t need much time to write. The content that you will be sharing with the world will be short, impactful passages that can be read within 10-15 minutes. These are often the most life-changing books because they offer self-improvement in manageable dosages. Your book will assist people with overcoming challenges, helping to establish a more joyful life.

You’re Too Afraid

Maybe you’re afraid of what others may say about your book. The key is your book isn’t for everyone. You have a specific purpose and a specific group of people you are writing to. Those people are considered your target audience and they will be more than grateful when you share your wisdom. If you just have enough confidence in yourself, whatever the reason, ignore it. We have allowed people to pour into our lives for so long and we haven’t learned to sift through the good and bad. Sometimes negativity can take hold of your subconscious to limit your achievements. The only way to silence your fears is to do what you’re afraid of. When you finally publish, you’ll really see how strong you are.

There Are Too Many Distractions

Every time you start a project, you get sidetracked by something else. Whether it’s a medical emergency, family issues, the death of a loved one, or something else - distractions will always be around. This is where balance comes in. Often, writing is a soothing activity that helps release the stress of the day. Even if you don’t take the time to work on your book, keep writing. Journal how you’re feeling, take a deep breath, and relax. To meet class deadlines, you may be able to wake up early or go to bed late to catch up. We offer an extra week of support for those who may fall behind. Just make the decision that you’ll never quit.

You Haven’t Finished

Are you one of those people who has multiple unfinished projects? Having a personal guide can keep you accountable when you lose the motivation to finish. You will also be part of an encouraging group of people who share the same goals, which can increase your chances of finishing your project because you’ll learn how others are coping and overcoming. The group can motivate you and help you control setbacks. The reinforcement from your peers is a known method for mastering the art of completing tasks. Along with LIVE classes, where you’ll be able to ask questions and get feedback, you will have step-by-step guidance throughout the process.

  • No. Devotionals typically include religious material like scriptures, however, you can write an inspirational book and use positive affirmations or your own personal quotes.
